The Pretty Little Candle Co.

The Pretty Little Candle Co came about quite unexpectedly during the global pandemic in 2020, and officially launched in 2021.

At the time, I was six months pregnant and in strict isolation due to government guidelines. To pass the time and tap into my love for home interiors, I decided to try candle making as a creative outlet. It all began when my husband surprised me with a candle-making kit, and from that small spark, my journey took off.

What started as a hobby quickly turned into something more. After sharing my candle-making experiences and selling locally, interest grew rapidly. I launched an Instagram page and was overwhelmed with excitement when I received over 100 orders within the first two weeks! Shortly after, I built a website, and the business has been thriving ever since.

I’m also a wife and proud mom of two wonderful children—my son, Alex, who is 24, and my daughter, Wilhelmina, who is 4. With the support of my amazing family, I’ve been able to pursue my passion for candle making for everyone to enjoy.

At The Pretty Little Candle Co., each candle and wax melt is handcrafted by me in Sunderland, Roker, in the North East of England. I use 100% vegan-friendly, cruelty-free rapeseed and soy wax, paired with high-quality cotton or wooden wicks, ensuring a clean and safe burn. Every piece is made to order, making each creation unique and special.
